IT Intern The IT Intern will play a vital role in supporting Monument Chemical’s IT infrastructure, providing technical assistance to staff, and engaging in diverse technology projects. Under the supervision of experienced IT professionals, the intern will acquire real-world knowledge of information systems, troubleshooting, software deployment, cybersecurity, and network administration.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Basic understanding of PC hardware, Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting processes and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude toward learning.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Good with time management, skilled at prioritizing tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship or project experience in IT support, system administration, or network management is advantageous but not required.
  • Preferred application knowledge for the following: Microsoft GP, SAP4/Hana, Esker, Salesforce, and/or Smoothie.
  • Preferred technical skills: Familiarity with C#, .Net, basic experience with SQL, MS Sql Server, knowledge of Windows fundamentals.

Responsibilities

  • Software Deployment: Support the roll-out of new software applications and updates, ensuring proper licensing, compatibility, and user training.
  • Documentation: Create and update IT support documentation, procedures, and user guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and process improvement.
  • Project Participation: Engage in special technology projects such as system upgrades, cloud migrations, data backups, and digital transformation initiatives as assigned.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about emerging IT trends, participate in training sessions and knowledge-sharing meetings, and seek opportunities to enhance technical skills.
