About The Position

This position will work within Enbridge's Gas Distribution Engineering group to support a variety of work including capital projects, gas network modeling, integrity assessment, field data collection, system functionality assessment and rupture mitigation valve characterization. The role specifically supports the Transmission Integrity Management Program (TIMP) and the Distribution Integrity Management Program (DIMP) teams. This is an exciting summer 2026 internship opportunity that allows one-on-one training with expert engineers.

Requirements

  • Must be in process of acquiring a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university with a graduation date of 2027 or 2028.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Engineers with capital project design.
  • Participate in data analysis and model building for the Synergi gas network models.
  • Analyze existing pipelines in preparation for planned integrity assessments.
  • Collect field data on facility components.
  • Assess and identify opportunities for improvement in facility operability.
  • Review and characterize existing rupture mitigation valves.
