About The Position

Coordinates the planning and implementation of summer school and manages the day-to-day operations of the summer program. ODE requires that a program to be eligible for funding it must provide for a minimum of 80 hours of student contact time. Promotes collaboration and communication with school personnel, families, and students. Communicates program information to teaching staff and families. Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.

Requirements

Ability to exercise sound independent judgment and work within an environment of changing priorities, needs and interruptions.
Demonstrated skills in organization, leadership, and understanding school and community programs, activities, and facilities.
Carries out work responsibilities effectively under pressure of deadlines, interruptions, and new or emergency situations.
Ability to work as a team with teachers and administrators and follow through with decisions made
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Interacts thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff and parents
