About The Position

SUMMER SCHOOL AIDE The Kaukauna Recreation Department is hiring two Summer School Aides to assist Teachers and students in our Safety Town and Kidz Academy programs. WHAT YOU'LL DO Summer School Aides will assist the program Teacher with clerical support, communicating class objectives, providing guidance, supervising students, and working with the students on activities. This position will help set up classroom/playfield workspaces, ensuring necessary materials are prepared and that daily activities are ready. The Summer School Aide will also interact with parents/guardians of students to provide feedback, answer questions and discuss progress as needed.

Requirements

• Must be age 16 or older
• Demonstrated independence and leadership
• Conscious of safety behaviors
• Ability to handle decision-making and provide feedback with professionalism
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, climb, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, reach, push, and pull
• Ability to sustain prolonged visual concentration
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to endure a variety of weather and temperature conditions for prolonged periods of time
