Summer School Principal Roles & Responsibilities: Summer School Principals will be the main point of contact for Summer School academic learning. Summer School Principals will report to Sara Williams. Key responsibilities for the Summer School Principal position include: Arrive on time and stay until you are scheduled to leave: 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM. Problem-solve technology issues for teachers. Engage in intellectual preparation with teachers, which involves looking at scholar work samples. Ensure teachers are engaged in weekly PD sessions Send out daily emails to all teachers updating them on Professional Development, surveys, and any additional deliverables. Create an observation/feedback schedule to provide weekly feedback to teachers - ensuring each teacher receives feedback once/a week (20-30 minutes). Create a PD schedule to ensure teachers receive 1 hour of professional development each week based on trends you identify during observations. Attend summer school principal professional development, as needed, based on trends identified by leadership. As needed, model/teach lessons for novice and/or struggling teachers. Collaborate with Fortune Excursions Site Lead regarding communication with staff and families. The Site Lead will have a Fortune Cell Phone to serve as the point of contact for communication. Collaborate with the Fortune Excursions Site Lead for attendance, parent concerns, and scholar conduct. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. May be required to lift objects (25 pounds or less) and assist in setting up activities or materials. Collaborate with Fortune Excursions Site Lead to ensure a smooth implementation of the Summer School + Fortune Excursions Program. COMPENSATION & HOURS: $27 per hour working from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
