The Summer Research Student will participate in a mentored research experience in the Department of Hematology. Under the supervision of laboratory staff, the student will gain exposure to functional genomics technologies, genomic data analysis, bioinformatics workflows, and scientific research practices. Responsibilities may include assisting with data generation and organization, conducting literature reviews, performing basic computational analyses, documenting research activities, and participating in laboratory meetings. This position provides hands-on experience in biomedical research and offers an opportunity to learn fundamental concepts in genomics, data science, and scientific communication. The Summer Research Student will participate in a supervised research training experience within the Department of Hematology. The student will work closely with laboratory members on projects involving functional genomics, genome engineering, and computational analysis of genomic data. This position is designed to provide hands-on exposure to biomedical research and to introduce students to modern experimental and computational approaches used in genomics research.
