About The Position

Carnegie Mellon University's Human-Computer Interaction Institute (HCII) is seeking a Summer Research Intern. The HCII is a research institute focused on understanding and creating technology that harmonizes with and improves human capabilities, goals, and social environments through interdisciplinary research and education in design, computer science, and behavioral and social sciences. The intern will research how people work, play, and communicate within groups, organizations, and social structures, and then design, create, and evaluate technologies and tools to support human and social activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong technical, communication, and analytical skills required
  • A combination of education and proven experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes/researches data
  • Prepares reports and other dissemination and outreach materials
  • Attends meetings and participates in various seminars/training classes as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
