About The Position
The College of Music offers a Piano Summer Camp where middle and high school students can receive exceptional instruction from concert pianists and esteemed pedagogues through masterclasses, private piano lessons, workshops, and lectures. The Summer Camp faculty will work directly with students ages 11 and up in private lessons, masterclasses, and workshops. Faculty also perform in camp recitals and lead lectures.
Requirements
- Completed a terminal degree in piano performance
- Maintain an active teaching studio and performance schedule
- Ability to communicate effectively and motivate middle and high school students
- Skills in four-hand piano performance
- Through knowledge of piano literature at all levels
Responsibilities
- Teach private piano lessons to camp residents
- Teach masterclasses/clinics to camp residents
- Perform in faculty recitals during the camp
- Assist with occasional camp administrative duties
