About The Position

Under general supervision, this role is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the College's grounds and buildings, preventative maintenance, and minor repair of general tools and equipment. The position will also assist with maintenance and custodial functions as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or currently enrolled.
• Valid drivers license required.
• Able to properly and safely use gas and electric powered maintenance equipment, including weedeaters, blowers, pressure washers, and cordless hand tools.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to work outdoors on a year-round basis.

Responsibilities

• Assists with maintaining College grounds, to include mulching, blowing, mowing, edging and related functions.
• Assist with maintaining College buildings, to include pressure washing, painting, minor carpentry and related functions.
• Executes general maintenance tasks as directed.
• Assists with routine maintenance functions, to include assembling and dismantling equipment for College/outside functions, minor carpentry projects and minor plumbing work.
• Assists with campus deliveries, custodial duties, assembling and dismantling for College events, and other physical needs.
• Maintain professional appearance at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Director, Facility Services.
