About The Position

The Harold Alfond Athletic and Recreation Center is hiring lifeguards for the summer. They will serve as on-duty lifeguards to ensure the safety of all visitors. Colby College, founded in 1813, is a highly selective institution serving only undergraduates. Its rigorous academic program emphasizes deep exploration of ideas and close interaction with faculty. Students have numerous opportunities for research, study abroad, and internships to prepare for postgraduate success. Requirements

• Serve as on-duty lifeguard while maintaining full attention at all times, to ensure the safety of all visitors at the Colby Aquatic Center
• Monitor the safety of patrons by enforcing facility and pool policies
• Conduct rescues to help weak or injured swimmers
• Administer first aid
• Maintain a welcoming and open environment
• Clean and maintain space as assigned by the Aquatic Director

Responsibilities
