About The Position

We are currently seeking part-time summer childcare staff At the Stateline Boys & Girls Clubs, our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• High School or Equivalent
• CPR / First-Aid Training

Nice To Haves

• Experienced in working with underserved children and tweens/teens
• Basic understanding of Youth Development
• Ability to support positive behavior guidance
• Ability to communicate effectively with youth, parents and staff.
• Ability to assist in planning and implementing quality programs
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
• Ability to perform activities with children

Responsibilities

• Assist The Lead Teacher in preparing and facilitating youth programs and activities.
• Help set up program materials, participate in activities, and ensure programs are engaging, educational and aligned with Boys & Girls Club goals.
• Maintain a safe and positive climate for all members at all times, including in program areas.
• Report safety concerns and ensure all equipment is used correctly.
• Actively involved in daily programming, demonstrating enthusiasm and encouraging members participation.
• Provide positive feedback and help reinforce good behavior and positive interactions.
• Support youth in developing social skills, problem solving and positive behaviors.
• Help manage minor conflicts, model appropriate behavior, and support the Lead Teacher during guidance or redirection.
• Assist with attendance tracking.
• Help maintain clean and organized program spaces.
• Ensure supplies are available and ready for use.
• Support the Lead Teacher in preparing weekly or seasonal activities.
• Communicate any concerns to the Lead Teacher or Unit Director.
