About The Position

Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale’s internship program develops future leaders in and outside the church through ministry experience and a weekly leadership cohort. Interns serve on a specific ministry team, where they take on meaningful responsibilities, receive supervision and mentoring, and learn the skills of that ministry area. They also join other interns weekly to study biblical leadership, spiritual disciplines, and core Christian doctrines, process their ministry experiences, and build community. Interns are placed primarily in an area based on their gifts, interests, and the church’s needs. Available tracks include Worship & Production; Creative & Communications; NextGen; Discipleship & Pastoral Care; Outreach, Missions & Recovery; Hospitality & Volunteers; Operations; and Campuses & Church Planting. The program provides feedback, encouragement, and opportunities to grow as a Christ-centered leader and follower of Jesus. The internship follows Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters and requires a commitment of at least one semester, with the option to extend up to three semesters. The Summer 2027 semester runs May 31 through August 1, 2027. Interns typically serve 3–4 days per week for 20–25 hours total: 2–3 days with their ministry team and 1 day in the intern cohort.
