About The Position

The 2027 BNY Summer Internship Program – Engineering (Production Services) is designed for high-potential students seeking a dynamic 10-week experience to accelerate development, build professional networks, and gain meaningful exposure to a leading global financial services institution. Interns will gain insight into the capabilities, platforms, and functions that power BNY's global franchise while contributing to impactful business initiatives. The program immerses interns in BNY's collaborative and innovative culture through enterprise-wide onboarding, development programming, meaningful project work, structured mentorship, and exposure across practices, platforms, and teams. Professional, technical, and financial services training is provided to strengthen business acumen and prepare participants for long-term career success. This role is ideal for individuals interested in supporting, maintaining, and improving applications in large-scale enterprise settings, enjoying technical problem-solving in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities, and working across teams to turn issues into improvements.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a strong focus on business-related and/or technology-related majors preferred
  • Graduating in Dec 2027 or May 2028 (U.S.)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
  • Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying.

Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of applications and technology platforms in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to plan and execute work, resolve issues, and support both short-term fixes and long-term improvements.
  • Leverage AI and other toolsets to monitor production health, analyze trends and performance data, and help identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and support activities while building knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.
