Requirements

  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Enrolled in a Canadian university for the full duration of the internship.
  • Ability to work on-site at the location specified above.
  • Pursuing studies in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Computer Engineering.
  • Strong skills in Excel, Power BI, Python, and SQL
  • Excellentes compétences en communication en français (parlé/écrit)

Nice To Haves

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Understanding of the aerospace industry, engines, and principles of Engine Condition Trend Monitoring (ECTM).

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of a service element (under the supervision of a senior team member).
  • Lead the development of a study, concept, or tool.
  • Communicate clearly and adapt to audience expectations.
  • Track and capture project history.
  • Stay organized to deliver tasks on time, showing autonomy and sound judgment in prioritizing deliverables.
  • Analyze engine data to identify anomalies, performance irregularities, signatures, and symptoms.
  • Understand task requirements, acquire and format data, develop hypotheses, and communicate and validate results.
  • Document findings and provide regular status updates.
  • Collaborate with the DES Analytics team to define and refine engine performance indicators.
  • Contribute to internal technical communications: prepare, attend, or lead technical meetings.
  • Maintain and enhance internal performance monitoring tools.
  • Work with both internal and external clients.
