About The Position

As an intern in the Materials laboratory, you will work closely with the metallurgical technicians and engineers’ team. You will apply the principles of materials science to conduct investigations, analyses and characterization of production parts and damaged jet engine components. Internship Dates: May 4th to August 21st , 2026. Location: 1000 Bd Marie-Victorin, Longueuil, J4G 1A1, Québec, Canada. Schedule: On-site only, flexible hours, 5 days per week.

Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
  • Pursuing a degree in the materials field.
  • Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and varying priorities.
  • Good communication skills in English and French (spoken/written). Reports are written in English and communication with clients and colleagues is required in both languages.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in materials characterization and microscopy is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and evaluation of super alloys and other materials.
  • Microscopic evaluation (optical and scanning electron microscopy).
  • Participate in investigations/analyses of production parts and failure analysis of engine components.
  • Participate in preparing/writing technical reports.
  • You will acquire and develop your experience in metallurgical analyses with experienced metallurgical technicians and engineers, in a highly collaborative environment.
