About The Position

This internship focuses on economic and business data analysis, reporting, and process improvement within the Packaging department at NY Ops. Interns will gain hands-on experience with data visualization tools, statistical software, and database query tools. The role involves analyzing operational and business data to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and support decision-making. Interns will also be responsible for building and maintaining performance reports and dashboards, and identifying opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and automate data workflows.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Current full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university undergraduate or graduate program in Economics or Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must commit to the full duration of the internship (June 1, 2026 - August 28, 2026)
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data analysis)
  • Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
  • Data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Statistical software (R, Python, or Stata preferred)
  • Database/query tools (SQL preferred)

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Participate in meetings with Operations, Supply Chain, and Business teams to understand how economic and data insights support business decisions.
  • Leadership and Stakeholder Presentations – Gain exposure to presenting analysis and dashboards to managers and senior leadership, improving communication and business storytelling skills.
  • Data Analytics and Visualization Tools – Hands-on experience using Excel, Power BI, Python, or SQL to analyze real business and economic data.
  • Business and Economic Decision-Making – Learn how economic trends, forecasting, and performance metrics influence operational and strategic planning.
