About The Position

Part of General Dynamics Marine Systems, Bath Iron Works is a full service shipyard specializing in the design, building and support of complex surface combatants for the U.S. Navy. Our summer internship program provides students with meaningful work experiences in their program of study and an increased awareness of our work environment. Bath Iron Works is located on the coast of Maine in the city of Bath, 2.5 hours north of Boston, MA and 45 minutes from Maine's largest city, Portland. We are actively recruiting candidates pursuing degrees in the following areas: Human Resources, Human Relations, Business Administration/Management, International Business, Public Relations, Communications, Education. This intern will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources department across multiple functional areas, including Training, HR Services/People and Performance, and Talent Acquisition. Responsibilities may include assisting with curriculum development, hiring events and recruitment processes, employee engagement initiatives, personnel administration, and other day-to-day HR operations.

Requirements

Must currently be enrolled in a BS or MS Academic Program within Business Administration, Business Management, Human Resources, Human Relations, International Business, Communications, Public Relations, Education, or related fields.
Must be available to begin the Internship on Monday, May 17, 2027.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Self-motivation and the ability to contribute as a team member.
General computer skills and a knowledge of MS Office Suite.
Ability to organize, plan and execute projects.
Research skills and attention to detail.
