About The Position
Waco Family Medicine (WFM), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), offers a paid Summer Internship Program for students and recent graduates interested in healthcare, nonprofit, and community-focused work. Interns contribute to meaningful projects, receive mentorship, and learn how a mission-driven organization serves underserved communities. Internship dates: June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026. Work format: Varies by department and role. Applicants apply once and may indicate interest in one or more internship tracks. Final assignments and projects vary based on interests, skills, and department needs.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited program or a recent graduate.
- Strong communication, teamwork, professionalism, and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and follow confidentiality expectations.
Nice To Haves
- Excel or interest in financial analysis/reporting.
Responsibilities
- Support a defined financial planning and analysis (FP&A) project under Finance leadership.
- Prepare and refine reports/analyses using Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Integrate feedback and assist with a final presentation to stakeholders.
- Gain exposure to related areas through rotations or project work (examples may include grants, accounting, compensation/benefits, or marketing/communications).
