Summer Internship - Engineering

This position will work closely with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance on developing work instructions and standard operating procedures, preventative maintenance procedures, and parts inventory. Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a college or university and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Proven verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to expand and improve problem solving skills
- Commitment to providing customer service
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to support production training
- Assist with developing training materials for new line operators
- Assist with developing and implementing the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program
- Work with Line Leaders to schedule and maintain PMs
- Create PM training materials for onboarding new employees
- Assist with creating Parts Inventory Catalog and Parts Ordering System
- Maintains records for equipment being repaired, parts replaced, etc.
- Updating and creating engineering drawings
- Assisting with COE parts distribution and organization
- Supporting project-based initiatives aimed at improving Safety, Quality, and Productivity (S, Q, P)
- Collaborating with local suppliers of direct material parts to support sourcing and production needs
