Requirements

Must be 21 years old or older at the start of the internship
Reside in the vicinity of the internship or have the ability to obtain housing.
Must be a minimum Junior in college and graduating the following year, pursuing a degree in: Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration (Marketing/Strategy), Data Science, Business Analytics, Sales, Project Management, and/or comparable from an accredited university
Proficiency using MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent interpersonal skills and enthusiasm to work with others to accomplish tasks, assignments and projects.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge in application and software development
Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, etc
Understanding of programming fundamentals
Basic understanding of web applications, API’s, microservices and Cloud technologies
Hands-on experience using AI coding assistance such as Claude code, ChatGPT or similar tools. Understanding of prompt engineering for testing tasks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to express ideas clearly and effectively when speaking and/or writing to individuals or groups, ability to influence outcomes, and strong attention to detail
Ability to accurately and carefully follow established procedures for completing work tasks.
Strategic thinker – can develop a plan to meet a long-term objective
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to identify, analyze, understand, and prioritize activities by business value and urgency
Ability to work through ambiguity in order to maintain momentum and achieve progress

Responsibilities

Work in a variety of Digital and Technology areas, including but not limited to: Enterprise Products & Platforms, Data & Analytics, Infrastructure & Ops, Cybersecurity, and Digital Strategy, to gain knowledge and understanding of technology’s role in the wine and spirits distribution industry.
Specifically working with the Domain team, learning and supporting the development of microservices guided by our AI platform, applying software development best practices, assisting in the creation of knowledge repository documentation using our AI platform.
Expose students to the wine and spirits Three-Tier beverage distribution system and the role technology plays to enable business capabilities.
Support projects as assigned and defined by student’s specific learning goals.
Participate in training, on-site meetings, and department wide learning opportunities as available.
Complete an end of internship project showcasing one’s knowledge and present to management.
