About The Position

Valency Systems is a small, dynamic team of engineers, scientists, and researchers building the global hub for the agentic research era. They are based in Berkeley, California, and are focused on open science, advancing research at the speed of thought, and using AI to accelerate discovery. As an intern, you will be fully in-office 5 days a week over the summer, providing an immersive experience within the team. The internship offers the opportunity to join a small team, own a real project, and ship work that matters. Interns will work directly with the people building Valency, learn quickly, and leave with a sense of accomplishment. Interns are hired across various areas including Engineering, Research & Science, Product & Design, Business Operations, and Go-to-Market.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate or graduate student, a recent graduate, or an SME in any field relevant to the area you're applying for.
• Curious about AI and already use AI tools in your work or studies.
• Communicate clearly and are comfortable with ambiguity.
• A team player with a growth mindset.
• Excited about open science and building infrastructure that advances human knowledge.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
