2027 Summer Internship Program - Supervision & Regulation (Regional Banking)

About The Position

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is seeking a college-level intern for its Supervision and Regulation Regional Banking Organization team. The intern will assist with supervisory programs while learning about Supervision and Regulation and the Regional Banking Organization supervisory program. The internship is paid and is scheduled for 10–12 weeks during the summer, with a 40-hour work week. Summer housing is not provided. Interns must be U.S. citizens and pass enhanced background screening before hire.

Requirements

Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university Bachelor’s or graduate degree program throughout the internship.
Have a cumulative GPA above 3.0 in an academically rigorous curriculum.
Be committed to working 40 hours per week for 10–12 weeks during the summer.
Be a United States citizen.
Pass enhanced background screening prior to hire.
Be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Have strong analytical skills.
Be able to work independently and take ownership of projects.
Have a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Be comfortable working across time zones to complete projects in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau.
A major in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or Economics.

Responsibilities

Support examiners in supervisory work, including continuous monitoring and exam participation.
Assist with projects that support the supervisory team.
Research current events and regulations relevant to supervision and present findings to stakeholders.
