This Summer Intern, Supply Chain position is located in Colorado Springs, CO. Our Supply Chain intern will be responsible for data analysis of the materials process from production schedule -Sales, Inventory, and Operations plan (SIOP) to shipping products. They will work closely with operations leaders, material planners, schedulers, buyers, customer experience team and others to coordinate the flow of materials that achieve the company objectives relative to customer service, efficient resource/capacity utilization and inventory investment. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.

Requirements

  • Working towards BS/BA degree in business or supply chain related degree/certification
  • Ability to effectively make recommendations with limited time and information.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across internal materials departments.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Comfortable leading discussions around data analyzed
  • Data analysis using MS Excel and/or other tools as provided.
  • General knowledge of ERP systems beneficial, and/or manufacturing process

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Lean Principles (preferred)
  • General capability with MS suite such as excel, word & Power BI is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to analyze data to provide scenarios that balance demand and supply while optimizing inventory and minimizing the impact of demand volatility.
  • Translate the monthly SIOP consensus plan by product family to detailed monthly, weekly scheduling plan to compare against capacity plan.
  • Works with Project Manager on team with process improvement.
  • Review data integrity of ERP planning item parameters. Parameters such as lead times, lot sizes, safety stocks, delivery times, and order file data for all master scheduled Items
  • Review and update training on master production scheduling, purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and document procedures and processes.
  • Other projects as assigned.
