About The Position

The QC Microbiology Summer Intern will support the Microbiology team with environmental monitoring, microbiological testing, laboratory operations, and continuous improvement in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The internship provides hands-on exposure to pharmaceutical microbiology and an opportunity to work alongside experienced microbiologists on activities supporting product quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. It is a full-time, temporary internship scheduled for June through August 2027.

Requirements

Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
Have an interest in and passion for BioPharma and biotechnology.
Have strong communication skills.
Have experience working in a highly collaborative environment and the ability to work in a team.
Be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and throughout employment, without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Support trending and visualization of viable environmental and personnel monitoring data.
Assist with laboratory investigations and gather data related to microbial recoveries or environmental monitoring excursions.
Assist with microbiology laboratory organization and continuous improvement activities.
Participate in cross-functional activities within Rayzebio.
Support routine laboratory activities, including inventory management, pipette verification, rad surveys, equipment and pass-through sanitization or cleaning, equipment log and check completion, supply organization, and general laboratory readiness.
