About The Position

Our paid Intern & Placement programme is designed to give you a hands-on insight into the work we do as a company and help to develop skills and knowledge within your chosen field. Supported by signposted training, the programme is based on Arcadis’ core values, giving you both technical training and support to help you develop both personally and professionally whilst with us. You will be exposed to real projects and clients and given a range of experiences to immerse yourself into over the course of your 10–12-week internship or 12-month placement.

Requirements

Working towards a degree in a relevant subject (BEng/MEng in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering).
Demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to use technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
Willing to travel and stay away from home when required.

Responsibilities

Operating as part of a team of Process Engineers conducting various design activities for projects within life sciences.
Being part of a multi-disciplinary team, which handles client needs in areas such as architectural, process, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, commissioning, validation, and construction management services.
Gaining an understanding of how these disciplines interact and the links that Process design deliverables have to other key activities in a design.
Continuously developing capability in process design through contributing to active projects.
Participating in regular training (both technical and personal) to develop a number of skills (such as presentation, communication, etc).
Working on projects in key areas such as sterile manufacturing, fill finish, bulk API, oral solid dosage, chemical manufacturing, and microelectronics.
