Veranova is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of complex active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for pharma and biotech customers. With deep technical expertise and impressive flexibility, we develop solutions and processes that support and accelerate innovation. We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our Operational Excellence team. This internship offers hands-on experience in driving sitewide improvement initiatives, designing operational workflows, and leveraging data-driven insights to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. The ideal candidate will have an academic background in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or Project Management, and a strong interest in continuous improvement methodologies. This role is designed for individuals who are curious, creative, resilient, and solution-oriented, with a passion for problem-solving and process optimization.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with SQL, DAX, or other programming languages for data analysis and automation.
- Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies.
- Understanding of business operations, pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, or basic chemistry concepts.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support sitewide improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce waste.
- Design and document operational workflows that align with best practices and business objectives.
- Develop and utilize data analytics to identify trends, measure performance, and inform decision-making.
- Manage and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress and drive accountability.
- Assist in the development and deployment of business intelligence tools to enhance visibility and reporting.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to executive leadership, summarizing findings, recommendations, and project outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for efficiency and implement sustainable solutions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through engagement, communication, and training.
- Utilize Lean principles and data-driven methodologies to drive measurable improvements.
