Summer Intern - Nuclear Operations

About The Position
This internship offers the opportunity to work on the new generation of reactors, including the AP300 SMR and eVinci microreactor, as well as the AP1000® fleet and existing operating plants worldwide. Interns will gain practical experience in plant operations, integrating knowledge from actual operating plant experience with new plant development, which will accelerate their careers in the nuclear industry.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree or master's degree in nuclear engineering.
- Completed Sophomore year of college.
- We will consider other engineering majors holding a Reactor Operator license at a university reactor.
Responsibilities
- Acquire knowledge about integrated plant operations to develop the way control room operators run plants with operating procedures.
- Work with industry professionals to learn the technical and professional aspects of working in the nuclear industry.
- Support technology development for incore instrumentation, reactivity computers, and other testing equipment.
- Gain experience with the operating fleet (integrating operating experience and new scenarios) and the next generation of nuclear plants (SMR and microreactors).
