About The Position

As a mechanical engineering intern, you will be a part of a team delivering solutions for customers and clients that seek to streamline the way Allegion does business. Working on a team that works to solve business problems in creative and efficient ways, you will learn to think outside of the box, implement scalable solutions, and follow best practices of both the mechanical engineering and security industry. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related (Aero, Systems, Industrial)
• Prefer completion of Sophomore year by Summer 2027
• CAD Experience (Creo is a plus)
• Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative, e.g. school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, leadership on school or work projects, etc.
• A desire to learn, grow and develop by working on projects that will impact Allegion’s business and customers

• Deepen your understanding of Product Lifecycle Engineering by sustaining the quality of current market products
• Participate in development discussions and implement solutions on real projects
• Learn and apply Structured Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis methodology to top quality issues impacting our lock business
