About The Position

Katie C. Glasgow & Associates, staff counsel for State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company in Bowie, Maryland, is hiring a rising 3L Summer Law Intern (Class of 2028) who will have exposure to litigation and trial practice. The internship strives to provide a balanced and realistic representation of the function of Claims Litigation Counsel, as well as real-world exposure to a multitude of legal services being provided. The selected individual will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with attorneys on assigned projects, observe every phase of litigation, and will have a designated mentor throughout the internship. The internship has a full-time schedule in the summer beginning Wednesday, June 2, 2027, through Wednesday, August 11, 2027, with the potential to transition to a part-time schedule during the 2027/2028 school year. The selected intern will be paid $33/hr and operate in a hybrid environment (combination of in-office and remote). The Summer Intern selected will also receive a $2000 Intern Stipend. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational skills, an energetic/positive attitude, legal research knowledge, and the ability to work well under deadlines in a fast-paced working environment. Located in Bowie, Maryland, we enjoy an active, busy civil trial practice. We provide a congenial, team-oriented, professional work environment with skilled support staff.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled as a 2L student in an ABA accredited law school and must remain enrolled as a student for the duration of the internship.
  • 2L students in the top half of their class
  • Strong research skills
