About The Position
The DEI Team works to build and sustain a workplace where all colleagues want to and can contribute their best. The intern will support the team's community impact, communications, and employee network group (ENG) work, while taking ownership of process improvement project tied to the team's 2027 goal of reducing manual work, incorporate AI solutions and increasing the impact of existing programs.
Requirements
- Comfort with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) is helpful, particularly for documenting workflows and building simple trackers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and asking clarifying questions
- Interest in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
- Curiosity about how corporate processes work, since the process-mapping project asks the intern to observe, question, and document how the DEI function actually operates.
Nice To Haves
- Desired major(s) Communications, Marketing, Organizational Development/Change, Business, or Liberal Arts.
- Open to Political Science, Sociology, or related social science majors given the process and stakeholder-analysis component of this year's scope.
Responsibilities
- Document current DEI team workflows (e.g., ENG requests, intake processes, reporting cycles) and identify opportunities to reduce manual effort.
- Provide administrative and engagement support to one or more Employee Networking Groups.
- Assist with content development for inclusive storytelling campaigns, including but not limited to internal newsletters, websites and other media.
- Support nonprofit partnership or community impact initiatives as capacity allows.
