Summer Intern - Continuous Improvement

About The Position

This position requires an individual with introductory level engineering experience to assist with continuous improvement projects. The intern will assist the Bethany plant with Aerial Traffic Flow & Logistics Optimization, leveraging drone technology and aerial data to analyze, model, and improve truck traffic flow, parking, and inbound/outbound logistics. Additionally, the intern will assist with Manufacturing Floor Operations & Process Management Integration, providing hands-on exposure to manufacturing operations and contributing engineering, automation, and problem-solving capabilities to production management and improvement efforts. Other duties will be directed by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum Educational Requirements: High School diploma.
• College Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Computer) currently in Progress.
• Physical strength to lift and/or carry minimum of 50 pounds frequently.
• Strong Interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and Auto CAD.
• Team cooperation – maintain positive/cooperative attitude with all employees of Laticrete and customers.
