About The Position

Vaxcyte’s Summer Internship program offers students an opportunity to gain valuable work experience that complements their college curriculum with relevant hands-on work that can shape their future career pathing and interests. As an Accounting Intern, you will work on a project providing support for financial analysis and accounting activities, conducting research and benchmarking on finance and accounting tools (including AI-enabled solutions), and assisting with maintaining and updating financial documentation. You will also leverage AI and advanced Excel tools to improve data analysis, reporting efficiency, and accuracy.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (enrolled student with at least 1 year at university completed) with a focus on Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and work quality.
- Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork.
- Enthusiastic-Shows curiosity and is eager to learn.
- Dedicated.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for financial analysis and accounting activities, including variance analysis, manufacturing accounting, SOX compliance, and preparation of financial statements.
- Conduct research and benchmarking on finance and accounting tools, including AI-enabled solutions, to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced reporting.
- Assist with maintaining and updating financial documentation, including process flows, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training materials, and internal controls documentation.
- Leverage AI an advanced Excel tools to improve data analysis, reporting efficiency, and accuracy while adhering to company policies and controls.
- Learn and practice core accounting and finance processes in a regulated environment to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Apply AI tools responsibly to improve efficiency and decision-making.
- Effectively communicate financial insights to stakeholders across the organization.
