About The Position

Kline Hill Partners invests in private equity funds, private equity-backed companies, and other opportunistic transactions, primarily by providing liquidity to existing investors. The firm manages over $7.5 billion in assets and focuses on what it considers to be the least efficient segments of the secondary market to build a broadly diversified portfolio. Kline Hill strives to operate a best-in-class secondaries platform with an institutional approach in areas such as transaction sourcing, deal team staffing, due diligence, finance, operations, information technology, compliance, independent oversight, attention to culture, and investor relations. This is a full-time, in-person internship for Summer 2027, offering exposure to the finance team.

Requirements

• Interest in Private Equity
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree at a leading college or university (please include major, GPA and standardized test scores on resume)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Should possess a strong work ethic, exceptional analytical ability, and high level of attention to detail
• Organizational skills with ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
• Self-starter that will thrive in an entrepreneurial and small team environment
• Interest in private equity and investment management financial analysis and valuation techniques
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (specifically Excel)

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of financial statements and capital structures

Responsibilities

• Shadowing members of the finance team as they perform their duties
• Assist with data entry for investments and cash tracking / maintaining and tracking financial data in the investment database
• Assisting with reconciling cash received from investments
• Assisting with preparing journal entries
• Assist with gathering information for annual audit and tax returns, as applicable
• May review annual and quarterly reports and financial statements of venture capital/LBO/mezzanine funds
• Provide assistance/support with special projects and ad-hoc requests
• Other duties as assigned
