About The Position
The Summer Maintenance Assistant supports the day-to-day upkeep of commercial facilities. This role assists with preventative maintenance, light repairs, and general building and grounds maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations. Gain hands-on experience in commercial facilities maintenance with exposure to building systems and skilled trades.
Requirements
- Must have a relative employed at Cook.
- Reliable with strong work ethic.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Valid Driver License.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic maintenance tasks (filter changes, light repairs, inspections)
- Assist with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical support tasks
- Complete assigned work orders
- Maintain building cleanliness and safety standards
- Assist with grounds upkeep and general labor tasks
- Report maintenance issues to supervisors
