About The Position
Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.3 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets. We currently have an opportunity available on our team for an energetic Seasonal Grounds Person to assist the maintenance staff at The Alexander & Brewery Market in downtown Halifax. This seasonal position is full-time Monday – Friday and will end on or before August 31, 2026.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to work as a team, and also under minimal supervision
Responsibilities
- Assist with minor maintenance
- Daily garbage pick up
- Watering of interior/exterior planters daily
- Keeping the area clean of dust coming from the adjacent site under construction
- All other duties as required
