Requirements
- Committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne.
- Minimum of 16 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent, is preferred.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Two years of related work experience with youth supervision is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well with youth, parents, community leaders, staff, volunteers, and YMCA members.
- Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Responsibilities
- Lead fun and enriching activities for school-age children participating in summer day camp.
- Have a warm, engaging, and friendly demeanor that is able to connect quickly with program participants, parents, and supervisors.
- Actively engage with and provide quality care for program participants in order to deliver a quality childcare experience.
- Good communication, accounting, and organizational skills.
