About The Position

Camp Pikati is hiring for Summer Day Camp Counselor Positions for the 2026 Summer season. Camp Pikati, meaning “camp across the Pike!”, offers campers a fun-filled experience each week with traditional camp games, sports, arts and crafts, swimming, relay races, archery, and camp-wide special themes. The West Suburban YMCA, where Camp Pikati is located, is a charitable organization focused on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead campers in traditional camp games, sports, arts and crafts, swimming, relay races, and archery.
• Facilitate fun and engaging activities aligned with weekly special themes.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers.
• Provide a welcoming, genuine, hopeful, nurturing, and determined environment for campers.
• Uphold the mission and core values of the Y, focusing on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
• Serve members (campers and their families) with respect and prioritize their needs and wants.
