About The Position

As a Summer Day Camp Counselor at the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows (BGCTM), you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of children while enjoying a fun and fulfilling summer job. You'll work with kids on a variety of activities, including art projects, sports, fitness, field trips, and more - helping them to develop new skills, build confidence, and make new friends. As a counselor, you'll be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for children, planning and leading activities, and serving as a positive role model and mentor. You'll also have the chance to take the kids on exciting field trips, exploring the community, and introducing them to new experiences. This role is part-time, and the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows aims for consistent schedules for their staff to promote a life-work balance. Shifts are: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Requirements

  • Minimum of 17 years or older
  • Provide 3 references (professional references if you have work experience, otherwise non-family members over 18 who can speak to your character and professionalism)
  • Complete a drug screen for any illegal substances
  • Complete a background check
  • Complete fingerprinting
