About The Position

This position will perform duties of operation, care, cleaning, maintenance, and security of the assigned facility and site. The goal is to provide a clean, comfortable, safe, and attractive environment to promote the mission of the Campbell County School District: "Teaching Effectively - Learning Successfully". The position is for approximately 3 months, with an 8-hour workday. Job offer is contingent on passing a physical.

Requirements

• Reading ability adequate to follow directions resulting in making effective work decisions.
• Lower body strength to stand/walk throughout work shift.
• Upper body strength to lift 50 pounds and carry 50 feet.
• Climb various scaffolding and ladders somewhat frequently relative to other tasks.
• Ability to pass a physical.
• Ability to pass a pulmonary functions test if required to enter confined spaces or use respiratory equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous commercial cleaning experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Participates in a daily work schedule of building cleaning and operation.
• Vacuums all carpets daily in area of responsibility.
• Cleans, sanitizes, services, and restocks restrooms daily.
• Cleans and sanitizes drinking fountains daily.
• Washes windows and frames as directed.
• Cleans all chalkboards and trays daily.
• Dust mops or damp mops all resilient or tile floors daily.
• Empties waste and sanitary receptacles daily.
• Dusts all dispensers daily.
• Keeps all dispensers filled daily.
• Replaces light bulbs as needed.
• Cleans furniture as directed.
• Operates physical plant equipment as needed.
• May require entry into confined space as well as the use of respiratory equipment, consequently pulmonary functions test must be passed.
• May be required to clean and inspect boiler system.
• Performs snow removal when required and shovels coal, if required.
• Performs weekend and holiday building checks, cleaning as directed.
• Provides assistance to building staff members on request.
• Works at other CCSD facilities on request.
