About The Position

Mars & Co is seeking a Summer Consultant to participate in an intensive 8-10 week internship. As a Summer Consultant, you will work as part of an ongoing project team, assisting major global enterprises in addressing strategic issues. This role involves rigorous research and quantitative analysis to develop business strategies, direct exposure to clients and senior staff, and an understanding of how consultants drive growth and profitability. Successful interns may receive an offer to return as a full-time employee upon graduation.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program at a top-tier business school.
  • Meaningful significant (3+ years) relevant prior business experience.
  • Quantitative analytical undergraduate education preferred (Engineering, Math, Economics, or a Science).
  • Strong data manipulation & analysis skills with tools such as Excel, R, Tableau, Python, SQL, Access, etc.
  • Excellent research capabilities.
  • High levels of intelligence, creativity, intellectual curiosity, energy & enthusiasm.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and common sense.
  • Detail-oriented and very organized.
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal (multiple languages a plus).
  • High degree of maturity and responsibility.
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams.
  • Interpersonal skills to work cross-culturally with diverse groups of clients and co-workers.
  • Strong leadership ability and the ability to inspire confidence in others.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in an intensive 8-10 week internship.

  • Travel or videoconference with clients, data sources, and teammates globally.
  • Apply rigorous research and quantitative analysis to develop business strategies.
  • Gain understanding of how consultants drive growth and profitability.
  • Obtain relevant data and information from various sources.
  • Analyze and visualize data to create meaningful insights for clients.
  • Develop action plans for clients by synthesizing analyses and applying strategic thinking.
  • Present research, analyses, findings, and recommendations to teammates and clients.
  • Manage a project workstream, potentially supervising and coaching junior consultants.

  • Base salary range for this role: $14,167 - $14,167/month (prorated).
