About The Position

APX is seeking reliable temporary summer Carpenters/General Construction Laborers to support project sites in and around Mankato and St. Peter, Minnesota. This role will assist with general jobsite support, including jobsite cleanup, material handling, light carpentry and demolition work, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and assisting the superintendent with day-to-day jobsite tasks. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years old for safety compliance
• Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physical jobsite tasks
• Good team work and collaboration effort.
• Problem solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to fifty pounds on a frequent basis and up to one-hundred pounds on an occasional basis
• Prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching is required on a daily basis.
• A full range of physical motion is required in order to operate manual and electrically-powered tools, sprayers, and construction-related equipment.
• The ability to move throughout the building, including climbing stairs and to work at heights from ladders or scaffolding, in order to perform construction-related work is required.

Nice To Haves

• Some knowledge of construction-related equipment and sound demonstrated use preferred.
• Prior construction, shop, farm, or carpentry experience is helpful but not required.
