About The Position

As a Summer Camp Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and welcoming learning environment for children. This role involves assisting in the preparation of fun and engaging lesson plans and activities focused on hands-on learning, sharing Latin culture with the children, and setting classroom rules using positive discipline. You will collaborate with other teachers to plan and implement lessons, provide individualized attention to help each child reach their full potential, and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and team members. Additional duties may be assigned by the Director.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent required
Speak, read, and write Spanish fluently
Demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and early childhood development
Energetic and passionate about working with children

Previous teaching experience
Basic English proficiency

Responsibilities

Creating a safe and nurturing and welcoming learning environment for our campers
Assisting in preparing fun and engaging lesson plans and activities geared towards hands-on learning and fun
Sharing the Latin culture with the children
Setting classroom rules and expectations using positive discipline
Being able to work together with other teachers to plan and implement lessons and activities
Helping each child reach their full potential through individualized attention with a focus on engaging them in conversation and hands-on learning
Maintaining positive relationships and communication with students, parents, and team members at all times.
