The School of Education/Community Leisure Learn program is looking for enthusiastic, responsible, and charismatic instructors for our Summer Camps! The PITT’s KIDS Summer Camp program provides instruction in aquatics, games, and sports instruction to children ages 5 to 16 years old. Through this developmental program, children participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities with a focus on progressive skill instruction. The program uses all areas of Trees Hall including the rock wall and the Olympic-size swimming pool. We also use the small pool in the back of the Olympic pool. Pitt's Kids Fall Program is looking for energetic and creative students to design and implement fun physical activities for our youth participants. The Summer Camp Swim Instructor will oversee swimming lessons and water safety for campers aged 6-15, ensuring a fun and secure aquatic environment. Responsibilities include teaching basic to advanced swim skills, conducting safety drills, and assessing camper progress. The instructor will promote water safety awareness, supervise swim sessions, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. During mornings with no swim scheduled, swim staff will be expected to assist with STEAM activities, engaging campers in creative and educational projects that promote learning and teamwork. Candidates should possess strong swimming abilities.
