About The Position

We are seeking enthusiastic and dependable high school interns to assist with our full-day Summer Camp program. Interns will support staff in running daily activities, supervising campers, and creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for our elementary school girls. This is an excellent opportunity to earn community service hours, gain hands-on experience working with children, and be part of a mission-driven team.

Requirements

• Must be a high school student (rising 10th–12th grade preferred).
• Enthusiastic about working with children and contributing to a team.
• Punctual, responsible, and able to follow directions.
• Able to commit to being present daily for 8 hours (shifts tbd) Monday–Friday, for the full duration of camp (June–July).
• Must have reliable transportation to and from camp.
• This position is only available for students in the Miami-Dade SYIP.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish and/or Haitian Creole fluency a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support facilitators with the setup, facilitation, and cleanup of daily activities.
• Supervise and engage with campers throughout the day.
• Assist during meals, transitions, and field trips.
• Serve as a positive role model and uphold Girls Inc. values.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful space for all girls.
• Communicate effectively with staff, campers, and peers.
