About The Position

KidStrong SoHo is rapidly growing and we're looking for talented, enthusiastic professionals who are passionate, energetic, and excited to engage with parents and kids and make an impact on their lives. KidStrong is a milestone accelerator for kids walking through 11 years old. We help parents discover their child’s superpowers and build future-ready kids who are confident making friends running the playground and raising their hands high in the classroom. In other words… kids who will win at life! This is a seasonal position.

Requirements

Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred
Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred
CPR certified
Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
Self-starter who just gets a job done

Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through camp, lift and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.
Must be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.

Responsibilities

Camp sizes of up to 20 children, ages ranging from 4 - 9
Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team
Must be able to ensure camp both start and ends on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum
Greet students as well as parent(s)/guardian(s) as they arrive to camp
Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading camp
Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
Keep an accurate record of attendance at all times
Ensure cleanliness of the center including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors - this includes taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping, wiping down equipment, and sanitizing the mat at the end of a shift
Effectively use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.)
Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, our company messaging system, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers
Complete training through KidStrong University as required by the HQ Training and Certification team

Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by the General Manager
Must obtain camp-certified status from the HQ Training and Certification team
Supervision, safety, and program implementation for campers while ensuring the well-being of all children
