Requirements

CPR/First Aid Certified or willingness to obtain
At least 2 years working with elementary age kids
Clothing should be clean and in good condition, and free from holes. Hats should be worn properly always.
Maintain a neat, dressed nicely and well-groomed appearance.
Ability to work successfully as a team member
Ability to understand and follow instructions
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.

Responsibilities

Develop, supervise, and participate in camp-wide programming activities with campers of different ages
Participate in workshop trainings held prior to camp sessions
Work cooperatively with other Camp Counselors to ensure campers are safe, while maintaining adequate health and hygiene measures
Build relationships with all campers by showing compassion, empathy and understanding
Conduct roll call at the beginning and end of every activity
Monitor each camper and communicate with them in an age-appropriate manner
Prepare camp environment daily for activities
Ensure cleanliness and organization of camp environment
Report any incidents or misconduct to Director of Youth programming for proper handling of situations
Provide positive feedback for parents
