About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking energetic, passionate Summer Camp Counselors to guide campers through a summer filled with fun, friendship, and unforgettable adventures. This role offers the opportunity to lead, inspire, and create lifelong memories for children while being part of a supportive, award-winning team. The position is located at John D. Perkins Elementary School in Marlow, NH, and is a part-time, non-exempt role with shifts between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday, during the summer. There is potential for continuation beyond the summer with different hours.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment that engages and supports children, families, and staff.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience interacting with families and supporting parent engagement.
• Ability to support community outreach initiatives to promote programs and engage prospective families.
• Maintains professionalism, reliability, and punctuality, while modeling enthusiasm, positivity, and a can-do attitude.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including bending, stretching, lifting, carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.

Responsibilities

• Support daily camp activities, including games, projects, special events, and themed arts & crafts.
• Create a positive, inclusive environment where campers feel supported, encouraged, and engaged.
• Ensure camper safety and follow all state guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school policies.
• Communicate daily with families using the Playground App and provide support during parent orientations.
• Support community outreach to promote the program and engage prospective families.
• Lead by example with enthusiasm, positivity, and a can-do attitude.
