About The Position

The Summer Blast Teacher will plan and oversee day-to-day activities for Summer Blast. This role involves promoting positive, friendly, and Christ-centered interactions with parents, students, and staff, managing classroom staff, and implementing a theme-centered curriculum. The teacher is responsible for ensuring student safety during all activities, including off-site field trips and on-site events. The position also requires employees to integrate a gospel-centered message into their responsibilities and be born-again believers who exhibit the Fruit of the Spirit.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree OR qualifications that meet MN Rule 3 Assistant Teacher standards
• Previous experience working with Preschool and Elementary aged children.
• Communication - demonstrates interpersonal oral communication skills by speaking clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Written communication skills are clearly written with the audience identified and the message defined in an understandable format.
• Planning/organizing - prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.
• Problem solving – identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
• Professionalism - Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments.
• Teamwork – can quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all; is seen as a team player due to cooperation and support; easily gains trust and encourages collaboration.
• Technical Learning – ability to learn and comprehend new technical skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Classroom Oversight – 100%
• Promote positive, friendly, and Christ-centered interactions with parents, students, and staff
• Manage classroom staff and their daily job responsibilities
• Plan and implement daily activities based on a theme centered curriculum
• Ensure that students are always supervised in the classroom, gyms, lunchroom, and outside
• Oversee and ensure safety of students and staff during off-site field trips and on-site activities
