About The Position
Plunkett Cooney is pleased to offer its 2027 Summer Associate Program, a 12-week immersive program designed for 2L law students seeking hands-on litigation and transactional experience. This program provides meaningful exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of a first-year associate within a collaborative and professional law firm environment. Summer Associates will gain practical experience by working alongside attorneys on a wide range of litigation-related matters, including: Observing and assisting with Circuit and Federal Court trials Drafting and responding to motions Participating in pre-trials and mediations Attending settlement conferences Assisting with depositions Conducting client and witness interviews Summer Associates will receive mentorship from experienced attorneys and have opportunities to build practical legal skills through structured training sessions and professional development workshops. The program also includes social and networking events designed to foster connections across practice groups and offices.
