About The Position

The LGCAI Summer Associate Program offers law students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an in-house legal department at a global manufacturing company. This fully onsite program at LGCAI’s Buckhead office allows Summer Associates to work directly with in-house counsel, collaborate with internal business clients, and gain exposure to a wide range of legal issues affecting large-scale industrial and corporate operations. Summer Associates will receive mentorship from experienced in-house attorneys and will have opportunities to observe and participate in meetings with internal stakeholders, gaining insight into how legal advice is delivered in a corporate, operational environment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an ABA accredited law school
  • Preference for students who have completed at least one year of law school by Summer 2026
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Interest in corporate, transactional, governance, regulatory, or in house legal practice
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Professional judgment and effective communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with legal technology or contract management tools

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on federal, state, and local laws and regulations; prepare legal memoranda, summaries, and internal guidance materials.
  • Assist with contract drafting, review, redlining, tracking, lifecycle management, and template optimization.
  • Assist with board and committee materials, including board minutes, Secretary of State filings, entity management, and maintenance of corporate records.
  • Support Legal in providing guidance to Human Resources on labor and employment matters, including immigration related topics.
  • Assist with legal review of safety policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives affecting manufacturing operations.
  • Support initiatives related to the evaluation, implementation, and responsible rollout of AI tools within the Legal Department, including research into legal, ethical, and governance considerations relevant to AI use.
  • Provide legal support to other LGCAI business functions and participate in meetings and projects with in house counsel and internal stakeholders.
